To our Patients and Friends of R Dental Clinic,
On Thursday 28th May the media announced that dental practices will be allowed to begin the process of re-opening as of Monday 8th June. This was the time that we as dental professionals had heard of this date.
We are of course delighted with the news; however our top priority remains the safety of both our patient and our team. We have been advised that PHASE 1 of re-opening will involve seeing patients for dental emergencies that cannot be helped by advising over the phone. These appointments can be made via phoning or emailing the practice (details below). Our practice doors will remain closed and access will only be for those people with appointments.
Due to a nationwide shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and current guidelines from NHS England there will be limitations of our scope of practice and we may need to refer you to your local Urgent Dental Care Centre where the appropriate treatment can be provided.
We have a full list of appointments that have been postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and will be calling to reschedule these when it is safe to do so. At the current time there is no need to contact the practice regarding routine dental appointments, however, as always if you have any concerns, are in pain or have a dental emergency please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you feel that you have a dental emergency please contact the practice either by:
- email: email@example.com
- Send a private message on Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/rdentalclinic460/
- or Call on 01274 638061
(In all case please be prepared leave as much detail as possible regarding your dental concerns as we have an in depth triage system that we need to follow in order to assess what action if any needs to be taken)
For out of hour’s appointments you can call 111 please be mindful that they are experiencing high levels of calls at this time and only call if absolutely necessary.
As a team, we are doing everything we possibly can so to remain fit, well and able to work so that we can continue our usual high standard of dental care throughout the phased return.
Thank you for your support, and stay safe,
Dr Ritesh Lad
