Update 27th April 2020
I am sure you will agree in that we are living in uncertain and unsettling times at the moment.
I hope you are all safe and well despite the impact the virus is having on our daily lives.
After my last update regarding temporary closure of the clinic in line with government guidelines, we found this posed many challenges to us in having to adapt to a strictly remote way of working both with our patients and colleagues.
As dental professionals the cornerstone of what we have been taught to do is to see and examine our patients which enables us to prescribe the correct course of action.
Having not been able to do this, as well as been limited to offering advise over the phone for pain relief and prescriptive medication has been rather disheartening as it poses many challenges and in some cases not been able to help patients in the way we would normally do.
I just wanted to thank you so much for your understanding and co-operation in these difficult times.
Please be advised that our practice still remains committed to the phone service that we have been providing. We will continue to provide emergency calls throughout the week as we have dedicated staff member answering calls during our working hours.
If you feel that you have a dental emergency please contact the practice either by:
- email: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Send a private message on Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/rdentalclinic460/
- or Call on 01274 638061 the phone is manned 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.00pm on a Friday.
Please be patient with us and understand that we will need as much detail as possible regarding your dental concerns as we have an in depth triage system that we need to follow in order to assess what action if any need to be taken.
You can expect a response from us between 10.30am and 12.00pm. Monday to Friday.
For out of hour’s appointments you can call 111 please be mindful that they are experiencing high levels of calls at this time and only call if absolutely necessary.
In dealing with this continuing evolving situation our priority at R Dental Clinic is the welfare of our patients, staff and colleagues; to ensure safe measures are put into place to enabling the practice to see patients and deal with their dental concerns in the near future. Once we have the go ahead by the relevant governing bodies to begin seeing patients again in a clinical environment.
In the mean time our dedicated team is working extremely hard implementing plans so that when we have the green light to open, we are ready to contact our patients and organise the appropriate appointment with clear guidance on ensuring your visit is as safe as possible.
If you have a forthcoming appointment our team will contact you to make any relevant changes .
We are encouraging you to re book your appointments as once we re open we are anticipating a high influx of emergency’s and treatment. It is therefore important that we ensure our patients all have their appointments in the diary so they can be seen in a timely and efficient manner.
As soon as a date has been confirmed to re open the practice we will let you know with immediate effect.
In the mean time stay safe and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
